Hello a Tutti!
Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen, family and friends,
Here is a weekly for you all!
This week has been good. We have been trying to find and work with some of our less active families and we were able to meet up with one who had disappeared for over a year. We met her and her family and had a wonderful experience. Her parents aren't members and asked us to go over to visit them, so hopefully that goes well! The people we are working with are wonderful, just hard to meet up with. But one of them has decided she wants to be baptized! Yay! But now we have to help her quit smoking. If any one you have tips or ideas on how we could help her, it would be appreciated!
There was a couple in our ward who got sealed in the temple after 40 years of marriage and we celebrated with them on Sunday after church. It was so special to see how happy they were. The temple is such an amazing place, and we are so blessed that we can be with our families for eternity.
Today for pday, my district and I are going to the temple, and I have the chance to take some of my family's names with me. I'm so so excited to go and just enjoy the peace of the temple. There is no place like it! If you haven't gone recently, I encourage you to go!
Anyways I love you all so much and am grateful for you. If you ever need anything, I am here!

You Didn't See This Weekly Coming, Did You?
Hello!
I still alive! I'm so sorry I haven't emailed the past few months! But don't you worry! I'm still in Italy, and I don't have the Corona virus! I'm currently in the Rome 1 ward which is the North-Western part of Rome serving with Sorella Wilcox (who is absolutely amazing) and we are having a blast working hard! We have had so much going on and are always kept busy. We are working with some wonderful people and are helping introduce family history and indexing to the people of Italy. Again, sorry I haven't really emailed, time just runs short and there is just so much to do! But I'm loving being a missionary and serving the people here. I only have 6 pdays left, but I will try to send out an email every week from now on.
Interesting things that happened this week:
• Three random dogs ran up to my companion and me while we were stuck at a bus stop late at night. They were so cute and low-key, an answer to Prayers. They hung out with us until the bus came.
• We cleaned trash cans again this week. Every week we have been trying to do a service every week. It's been really fun and a lot of people have really appreciated the work we do. But we went to eat after, and the sweet waiter brought me out a free bowl of fried Cheese Balls. (not cheese puffs but what can you do? 😂)
• We hiked to a monk monastery up in the mountains. Super cool and I bought a CD of the monks there singing Gregorian Chant. Def best buy I've made in Italy.
I know there are lots of other cool things from this week but these were my favorite.
Anyways I love you all lots and hope you have an amazing week!!
Love,
Sorella Thorup
