Hey it's a real weekly this time!

Hello everyone!

I am so sorry I haven't written these past two weeks. But I hope you enjoyed all the photos.
So to catch you all up, I am now serving in Siracusa, on the island of Sicilia. My companion is Sorella Neff, and she is literally such a good missionary. I love her so much and we are working hard together. It is like a paradise here. It is literally so beautiful and I love the people. They are just very open and kind. We have some good work here. There is this sweet couple that we have been working with and they came to church for the first time this week. We just started teaching them my second day here. And we are going to be going to meet her daughter who wants to hear our message. It's really cool. There is just nothing quite like watching the gospel change someone's life. To see a light change in them. I can't quite explain it.

Anyways, there were a lot of cool things that happened these past few weeks. But one of the experiences was when we were on the bus coming back from an appointment. There were two girls from India who were on vacation. But they spoke perfect English. Anyways, we helped them know where they needed to get off the bus, and so we started talking. One of the girls was very interested to just hear about our church. Both girls were very intelligent and enjoyed learning about different peoples and cultures. So we explained about how we have a living Prophet who directs the church on the earth today. And as we were bearing testimony this girl look at us and said, "Wow you have got some divine light coming out of you. Have you been told that before?" It was just such a cool moment. I've learned to love sharing my testimony. I love telling people about the joy that I've found, the peace, happiness, and the answers I received.

Something else that has happened this last week was Zone Conference. It was really fun, because we all have to go the day before and stay over night because of distance problems. So it was a party! But we went on Thursday to Catania. It is a beautiful city. We did our interviews with the new mission president and his wife. They are both so so wonderful. We all ate lunch together, and we practiced the musical numbers for Zone Conference. Well I was doing good in practice, but purtroppo it wasn't that good in the conference lol. It was still fun.

Things are going well. I love my calling, I love talking to people, hearing their life stories and seeing how they think. We went out one night with these two sweet old ladies we had met at the park. And it was just nice to walk with them, and hear stories of how they found their faith, stories of their families, and just eat Italian food with them. I am here to teach them of the plan that God has for us, but I learn sooo much from them and all their wisdom.
We have also been doing some house to house lately. It's fun to turn it into a game. It's fun with Sorella Neff, she's good at making things fun when it would otherwise be long and hard. When we are outside the house, we speak in Italian, and she will just ask funny questions that I have to respond to or just tell me stories. Makes the hours in the sun pass a little bit quicker.

Anyways, this email was a little all over the place, so sorry about that. I will try to keep up on my weekly emails and not just send pictures. Haha but no promises.
Anyways I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!

I might have already sent the beach picture. I don't remember. But it is still beautiful.
Last week we went and had a fish pedicure so that was fun.
The picture of the street just looked very Italian. That was when were were out finding last night.

Best Week

Buongiornoooo!!

Sorella Nordlin is feeling pretty darn great this week and we were back to the normal missionary life! And we were so blessed this week! Two of the people we are teaching accepted baptismal dates! Raffaele's is next month, and Wosa is end of August! It was like such a miracle! We are so so excited for that.

Some of the other highlights this week:
* I gave a talk in church. I haven't been asked to speak up to this point, so it was pretty fun. I made Anthony read over it all to make sure it was correct. And it was. 🙏 But that was really good. It was on repentance.
* We went to Rome and met the new mission president! President and Sister Smith are amazing. I love them so much already. I think the next 9 months are going to be pretty amazing. They are just the sweetest and I connect with them in so many different ways.

* We taught a lesson in Portuguese! (well sorta) We went to a member's house on Sunday. The mother is from Brazil and the father is American and then there are two daughters. The whole family speaks both languages. But the mom's sister who isn't a member is staying with them. She speaks Italian and Portuguese. So for our spiritual thought we had the two daughters teach the plan of salvation in Portuguese. We were able to follow most of what was said. It's pretty similar to Italian. And if they missed something, we filled in Italian. The dad served his mission in Brasil and so he stepped in to help too. It was over all just a really good lesson.

And then a bunch of other really cool things happened. Long story short, after the trial of your faith comes the blessings. I love you all and hope you are doing alright!!
