This week has been pretty special. A lot of cool things happened that just proved that God is helping move this work along. Well that being said, I'd like to share these little miracles with you. The first one was Monday night. We were doing some house to house when this older lady let us in. Some relatives were members and she was so sweet to us. We spent about an hour with her and shared a message of our Savior. Our week days were filled with Members and people we are teaching. It was cool to see their faith grow and the desire of all these people to be more like our Savior. But Friday and Saturday were days pretty strange. We had a lot of time open and it's hard to find appointments because of the holiday this next week. So we were just on the street talking to whoever would listen. And all of these very strange opportunities came up to share the gospel. It mostly deals with food.
We went to the pizzeria near our house to get a treat for our friend. And they gave us a free dessert, and we were able to invite them to the church activities coming up. As we are walking to deliver the treat to our friend, this older man we have talked to in the past rolls up on his bike and tells us he wants to buy gelato for us. So we had a really cool conversation with him and set up an appointment to go sing at rest home with him. We start walking back and finally drop off this treat from the Bakery to our friends and they ended up buying us granite (creamy slushy) and we didn't really know what to think of it. But again it ended up being a wonderful chance to talk with them. As we headed out on our way, Sorella Neff complimented someone on her dress and the lady said she would take us to where she bought it. So we got in her car as she drove us the short distance. We had such a cool conversation with her and she will be coming to English Course. And it was stuff like this that just kept happening.
Then Saturday night, we were seeing similar miracles but the best happened at the very end of the night. It was almost 9 and we were almost home. Earlier that day we had done some house to house at the apartment building near ours. No one had answered but we left our pass along card on a few of the doors. But then that night we are in front of that same building and stop a mother and her daughter. We had a beautiful conversation about Jesus and she invites us to go spend a half hour with them and explain our church to her children. We walk in and it's in one of the apartments where we had left our pass a-long card. She took it as a sign of destiny. It was sooo cool and she fed us dinner too. But she wants us to come back and she was just the nicest. I could tell she was a person of high values.
Then on Sunday I was asked to give a talk about how if we love God, then we will love those around us. And if we love them we will want to share the gospel. I was only given a morning to prepare the talk but it was really special to share my testimony with all the members. My work is to share the best message that has ever existed. We have a loving Heavenly Father who is there for us and who has created a plan of happiness for each of us. I invite you to share that with someone this week.
